Very offbeat, exceptionally imaginative!

Imagination is the most important quality you can have if you are trying to be creative.
This submission, like your others, shows that you definitely have a rich and delightfully odd imagination. I'm impressed!

Like a breath of fresh air!

This is absolutely wonderful! When digital technology made it possible for practically anybody to proclaim himself an animator, an enormous quantity of pure crap began to appear and continues to proliferate today. This marvelous piece of tender art is welcome evidence that all hope is not lost. there are still people with imagination and uplifting ideas
to express. Please continue your creative work!

TheHumanFly responds:

Wow...! Thank you very much for your words, they really mean a lot for me. I've seen your submitions and I think they're quite funny and clever. I hope your band does it as good as your animation work. Thank you once again for your comments Professor

Outstanding!

Its surprising how realistic the ocean effect is, especially since you accomplish it with what appears to be a still image (no internal movement of the waves) by simply panning it slowly across the background. Very nice work!

PapaQ responds:

Thanks, yeah, it's the same image looping over itself reverted. I was working with Maya Ocean effects and trying to create a similar, low filesize effect in flash. And I think it turned out pretty sweet. Thanks for the great review.

Impressive styling, very good coloring!

Well designed, very original characters, good timing, and funny. Folks, notice how color is used in this movie, especially in the backgrounds. A lot of NG submissions would be much better if more attention was paid to color tonalities. Fully saturated hues are rarely seen in nature. The landscape backgrounds in this flash are very realistic and visually appealing. It's not just good drawing, its also knowing how to adjust the chroma of the colors.

Nice Drawings!

You have drawing talent and a good sense of framing and camera angle to acheive atmosphere and dramatic effects. Your use of color indicates a knowledge and command of natural tonalities, not the usual gaudy easter-egg hues so often seen on NG. I encorage you to continue developing your craft, you have real potential!

Alamus responds:

Wow, thank you so much. I am truely lucky to get such good reviews from another and more experienced artist.

Thank you and I will keep it up. :D

Good in every way!

Ingredients for exceptional work:
1. A clever idea.
2. Drawing skill
3. Knowledge of color and how to use it
4. Keen sense of timing and pace
This little move has it all.

Well done, and very funny.

What a difference good drawing makes! It's nice to see characters that have detailed features, hands with correctly drawn fingers for example. This would be a pleasure to watch just for the quality of the graphics, even if it wasn't funny as hell, but it is!

Real Quality!

CAZ T,
I'd like to encourage you to continue creating your work in animation.
Your talent and imagination is exceptional.

Its obvious that you put a lot of time and effort into your creations, and its understandable that you would be angry if some pathetic non-entity stole them from you. But please don't let it discouage you. I'll be watching for more of your work!

Good idea, nice use of color.

This should appeal to everyone, except of course, those who would prefer to have the guy killed in a traffic accident with his head severed and his blood spattered everywhere. This flash has many nice qualities (good drawing, good pacing, etc.) but the thing that impressed me most is the intelligent use of color. The world around us is is made up up mostly subdued colors. Highly saturated colors are comparatively rare. Knowledge of this can make the difference between an professional looking work and mediocrity.

Very offbeat, exceptionally imaginative!

Pehaps you should have explained a little about Kafka in your comments. Judging from the writing skills and literacy of many NG reviewers, I seriously doubt if one in a hundred of them has any idea who he was.

There is a web animation contest going on right now dealing with the theme of "Conflicts: between the cult of war and the culture of peace". I strongly advise you to submit this movie. I think you'd have a good chance with this piece. I'm not allowed to give the URL in a review but if you'd like to have it, email me and I'll send itr along.
The deadline is November 30th. I'm working on an idea I plan to submit.

I commend you on a very original and strange creation!
